Flood of 08

The Mississippi got a little high this year. Effected many homes, businesses, and farms. I snapped a couple pictures last week. The river has dropped a few feet since then. I had some pictures of Pontoosuc and Rio Vista Illinois. Those two towns were both completely flooded. Everyone had to pack their stuff in semis and evacuate for a few days. For some dumb reason those pictures arent on my camera. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif Heres what i have though.

I haven't been to Big Muddy's in a long time.

The Des Moines river closed the road into Missouri all last week.

Not close to "93" but still lots of flooding...

I've been watching the Coralville Reservoir, or more specifically the water inching it's way towards the signs posted from the '93 flood. We ain't quite there but we're getting closer every day. The whirlpool above the Coralvill Res damn was quite impressive.

Those pics struck a soft spot. My family used to have property on Pool 4, Wisconsin side. Floods of 98 or 99, can't remember, took it all out though. Damn flooding.
