?? for public land bowhunters *DELETED*

Re: ?? for public land bowhunters

Unfortunately, I have found that on public land, what seems appropriate and what actually happens are two completely different things. 200-300 yards seems decent based on experiences that I have had on public land. Only way you can generally assure yourself of a good spot to hunt is by going to a spot that is hard to get to. You will eliminate 80% of the other hunters of it is a ways back in there.

Not sure about the stand placement, but it could benefit you. Scout the hunter this year and make sure you are in your stand 1/2 hr to an hr prior to him. Particularly in the evening, not so much morning. Hopefully you can 1 up him and be more dedicated and have him push the deer to you as he/she is on the way to their stand.
