For the landowner that has everything

This year I went with a more personal touch for the things that I give to the landowners that I get to hunt at.

Like alot of us I give the usual, deer meat, gift certificates, labor, etc, One of the extra things I did this year is had Adam (DOUBLEMAINBEAM) on this site, make some pens out of sheds that I had found on each of their individual farms. They have been a big hit with the landowners when I explain the antler came off of their farms.

I appologize that I do not have a photo of them offhand but maybe doublemainbeam can post a pic. I gave him these sheds, but I believe he has his own if you don't want to part with any.

They are high quality and will be ordering more when I find some chewed up sheds this spring.

DBL does awesome work!

Great idea, I would like to strongly encourage everyone who hunts on property that isn’t their own to repay the landowner for the privilege of hunting the land. A small gift, a X-mas card, deer jerky, help fix a fence, you get the idea. If you don’t, someone else will! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Being as I am from South Mississippi, I like to take the landowners fresh gulf shrimp...

It really is a hit with just about anybody up there and I have been able to secure more land because of it...

These are not your RED LOBSTER size shrimp, these are chicken wing sized shrimp (the shrimpers call them U12's because they are under 12 to the pound)...

Just one advantage of living in the South...
