Frost seeding switch

I’m using HD screening this year but have areas I’d like to try and get switch established. With the idea of eventually using it to replace HD. Ground is in southernish illinois. Thoughts and timeline on frost seeding switch? Process after the application? I do not have a blank slate, dirt only canvas at this point.
Switch variety that you trust?
Would like to do smaller section and figure it out.

Sorry, no. It’s not bare.

It’ll be seeded into dead weeds.

Frost Seed end of February. All of March.

Spray simazine or atrazine ahead of Greenup.

RC Bigrock variety in my strong opinion.

You will potentially have maintenance throughout establishment year depending on what's happening with it
