Good Bow shop in NE Iowa

While I don't visit a bow shop that much, I was disappointed that Oneota in Decorah isn't around anymore. Did they move or just close up shop? Any recommendations for a good bow shop in the area?? I was thinking of visiting Valley Creek Outfitters in Spring Valley, MN but haven't stopped in yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jake at Pikes Peak in Farmersburg has Bowtech and Mathews (great guy)

Justin at Sportsman Unlimited in Waukon has Elite (great guy)

Paul Novotny has Magnum Sports in Chatfield MN and sells PSE, Hoyt, and Bowtech. Rocket works the shop and will treat you well!

There is a new shop that will be open in June in Decorah called Anthem Archery. They will have Mathews, Strothers, and Hoyt. The owners are good guys as well!

Hope this helps :way:

Thanks guys for the ideas. Guess I'm going to have to shop around to find a place I like. I was always pleased with the service at Oneota and hopefully I can find another like it, may have to check out Wagon Road Archery.

I went to Archery Headquarters in Rochester to get my DXT re-strung. Got it done just fine but the price seemed a bit steep and he insisted on paper tuning it himself as opposed to helping me do it...oh well.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

Its a little bit of a drive for ya, but I always take my bow to John Carlson in Lake Mills, runs his bow shop in his basement, used to be on the IBA board if I remember right. One of the nicest guys I have found, really describes everything he does. And he will not let you leave until he takes you to his range to shoot and make sure everything is set up
