Ground blind question

I have a spot in my wetlands that I wanted to hunt but had no good trees to hang a stand so I set my ground blind up and brushed it in good. My question is do most of you shoot through the window netting or do you just have the nets part way down and shoot clear of the nets. It makes me kind of nervous of arrow flight shooting through the net? I'm sure this has been discussed before but couldn't find anything on it. Thanks Jeremy

I have a double bull Titan 2 or T2 I think they call it now. It is the triangle shaped one with the big mesh panel on the front. I have practiced shooting through and noticed no negative effects out to thirty yards. I have heard that some funky things can happen if you shoot certain expandables through it. I shoot muzzy 100's and they go through like nothing. It sure is an awkward feeling to just blast an arrow through, but it works. I also try to make sure the mesh is as tight as I can get it. Hope this helps.

I shot my turkey out of an ameristep blind through the netting this spring, arrow flew great, dead gobbler.I dont know about expandables, I was shooting a dulled down g5 montec. I did read somewhere about doubling up on the rubber bands on expandable broadheads but I have no first hand experience doing it so cant say for sure. But with fixed blades its like the netting isnt even there.Good Luck!

If you are shooting fixed blades shoot thru the screen. When you do not use the screens you get a black hole effect. Some believe this can make deer nervice, I tend to agree.
