I’ve gone thru 2 of the soft bag chapin seeders now. They’re great for tiny seed like clover, ok for seed like wheat, terrible for heavier corn and bean seed. Anyone have good experience with another brand that is not plastic crap? I’ve got a pto spreader but that’s way overkill most of the time when I just need to do half an acre here or there.

I have an aTV spreader I use. Which I probably had for ten to fifteen years. Probably a little bit more now , but I don't think they were more than a couple hundred bucks when I bought it. Way more accurate due to the fact you can underseated do it a couple times

Tell me more! I have a solo that I absolutely hate because the strap is so awkward. I am obviously using it wrong.
To the OP, I also have a Hooyman hand seeder that I really like for heavier seeds. It uses a harness style shoulder attachment that stays on your shoulders and you can unclip the seeder to refill it. Don’t know yet how durable it is but super comfortable.

Solo hands down........Smith go to the 2 min mark.....hook under edge of the seeder not the top area
