Hawken Rifles

I found this photo some time ago of part of a collection of original Hawken mountain rifles. When a person considers that there were probably less than 2000 of these ever made, and few surviving examples left, this is an impressive collection. If my memory is correct, I think these are from a private museum in Arizona.

Those Lyman Great Plains firearms sure do look a lot like the old Hawkens rifles.
