holy tornado

Glad to see you are ok, Muddy. I heard NL got rocked as well last night.

I drove through the downtown area on my way to work this morning. No street lights, every intersection is a 4 way stop. Lots of window and roof damage. I snapped this image out my window while at a stop sign. This is the intersection of Burlington and Clinton Streets. A car is flipped over and in the background you can see the damage to The Liquore Store, where there was reported looting last night.

Hope everyone and everything is alright over there. Sounds like a lot of powerful storms moved through that part of the state.

I was at work last night when they came in. We could see two of them set down in Iowa City from the building. These things were no small twisters, I couldnt believe my eyes. The ride home was like driving through a battle field.

We are on the SW corner of IC and our house thankfully escaped major damage. Our trampoline was not so lucky though, it went for a wild ride and landed in the ditch about 20 feet from going up on the interstate. I would have felt very bad if our stupid trampoline caused an accident or something.

By the sounds of things there is very serious damage in town.

I have been walking around all morning snapping pictures. I use to live just above the liquor store on Burlington and Clinton, my old apartment is completely gone, pretty erie feelling walking around. Glad to see that the damage was mostly to buildings and not to people, I saw a few people last night when we were downtown with some bumps and cuts but nothing major thankfully.

I live on campus and we were watching the twisters from the building. It is pretty intense seeing debree flying through the air.

Glad yall OK!! I played VanHalen LOUD in 1981 so my Lab was not afraid of the Sound of the TWISTER!! ( Kalamazoo Mi.)
