a friend of mine just got a new mathews lx. and the archery shop that set him up, set him up with 85 gr. tips.
my question is, is this gonna generate enoough ke. for deer hunting? he is shooting goldtip arrows and he's pulling around 62 lbs. any infor mation will help. thank you

Need to know the weight of the arrow and the speed it will be traveling to caculate KE. Have him shoot it through a chrono and give the weight of the arrow and then we can figure KE. If he is shooting fixed or repl. blade heads he should be fine. However, if he is shooting mech. he may be borderline. Need more info to be sure though.

i dont know anything about kinetic energy, but i shot my bow through a chrony im shooting around 255 with a 400 grain arrow, if anyone that is smarter than me, could calculate ke for me that would be greatly appreciated!!
