Hunting by the moon

I understand the hunters moon, but how does other phases of the moon effect eating behavior and the rut?

Jason, In the September 2002 issue of Field and Stream there is an small article about rut phases and the "Hunters Moon". The article is called "Bad Moon Rising?" by Scott Bestful. It is based on research by Charles Alsheimer and Wayne Laroche. If you can get a copy of it , it's worth reading. As far as feeding patterns and the moon check out Dan Barnetts Feedng Times chart in the front section of Iowa Game and Fish. I've followed it for a while and it seems to be pretty accurate.
