The wife and I headed out Sunday to tour some of Nebraska's annual "Junk Jaunt" An annual event where 35 or so towns have garage sales the same weekend and the course is plotted out for you by town and vendors.

We went to 5 towns, covered a lot of sales, and this is what I brought home.:D
For a dollar I think I see a knife or two in these old shears.
Updates to follow.:way:

I was going to say that Jay could probably look into a bag of rocks and see a knife, but knowing him, it'd be a bag of obsidian. ;)

Well.....................that was interesting.;)

I'm not sure I want to build another, the blade was easy enough and it's good steel. but the handle was a pain in the butt.
It's walnut with mulberry end cap.

That looks awesome Jay.
You ever make any out of files or wood rasps? Saw some a guy had made out of them with antler handles. They looked really neat and I was thinking about trying one this winter.

Thanks, Guess I should try something easier first. Been reading through a lot at the Blade Forums. Trying to get some ideas for a beginner.
