I have been lurking on here for years and have posted a bit and made friends and talked to a few members here and I can finally say I've hunted in your great state. I had rotator cuff surgery in late June and didn't know whether I would even be able to hunt; however by late October the therapy started to work and I found myself shooting again. I left for Southern Iowa last week of October and hunted for about a week then headed to Illinois for a week and back to Iowa for another week. All I can say is that you guy's definitely have something special as I was averaging between 8 to 12 bucks a day ranging between 130's to 150's while rattling. I ended up settling on a decent buck that was a 10 that went in the 50's but lost one that would go in the 170's that went on a neighbors property that he probably took back to Alabama. Anyways, I appreciated the opportunity to look at so many nice deer and can honestly say that your state hunts alot easier than alot of other places that I've been. It took me 3 years to draw the tag and hopefully I'll get back in another short 3 yrs. I see why so many guys kill jammers in the state. One thing I will say is it is definitely easier there than the brush country of South Texas. I hate to say it but you guys need to stick together to keep the tags in check so they don't ruin something great like Kansas is doing. Keep the food in the ground till next time. Over and out
