Just was reading a thread on another forum about another outdoor show (Wally Dallenbach's Track & Trails) shooting deer in high fenced enclosures and was surprised to see the outfitter was located in Iowa. They gave a website link: Teague Ranch

Check out the prices which are based on antler size. Guess if you don't care at all about the hunting experience or fair chase you can just go out and buy yourself a trophy.

UGH! why not just do it the old fashion way? Things have changed so much. Big deer can grown in other places around iowa than just there, and its free, have a nice buck on your wall but too bad you had to "buy" that buck. just differnt i guess

I think I'll see about getting a couple over 210bc. I wonder if my wife would say anything about the credit cards bills. She problaby wouldn't even notice.
 
Had some ground that I hunted close to them for years,and they always had a big boy in the breeding pens.Also seen several in fields driving by.One day was just west of there place and seen a large rack on a albino deer,I hit the brakes and turned around and pulled intothe drive of the fieldand seen they were sika deer that must have found a hole in the fence.I figured some one would be surprised to jump them while on a deer drive.If you are on I-35 south,they are on the west side at the Hwy 2 exit.
 
The show was less than entertaining to watch yet I found myself wrapped up in it. I was trying to reason with why anyone would want to hunt in a high fence...then saw the people hunting on the show. Like the above...I was not impressed with the "ranch"
 
This topic has really been wore out gang! If people want to spend that kind of money and have fun doing it.....more power to them.
 
As long as there is a market for goofy products and services ,people will be selling and people will be buying.
I actually saw on TV the other day a pack of 12 ice cubes prepacked in plastic for 10 cents. (made from bottled water.)
 
i think high fence hunting is againest what we all believe in and shouldnt be done.... but we all know some people will pay anything for a record buck in this case it doesnt count but they dont care its sad to see that so called pro hunters have to pay money to kill trophy deer when we all know there are trophy deer through out the state.... when it comes down to it people will pay for whatever they think is right no matter what REAL hunters think....
