To plant Alfa Alfa and Clover for the year? If not, how long do we have until?
With the amount of rain we have been getting, the ground just hasn't dried up enough for us to get the tractor back to the plot and get everything disked & seeded.
We have a 5 acre section set aside just for a food plots. 4 of the acres was in corn last year. The other 1 acre was a small brassica/turnip plot. Our hope this year is to disk the 4 acres that was corn last year and plant 3acres of it in alfalfa and 1 acre of it as clover. The brassica/turnip plot from last year, we will turn over in late summer/fall and plant winterwheat and peas.

Its still early for them. You have plenty of time to plant both, most guys around here haven't started planting their hay crop alfafla and clover. You can plant the clover as late as September 1st, but that is pushing it. Alfafla is around the same time frame, but you can go alittle later with it.
