Went out today and sat at 1:00pm. Had a small 8 point come into my estrus scent bomb at 2:00pm. After that I didn't see anything until after dark and couldn't shoot, a gigantic 8 and huge 10 point worked their way across our alfalfa field. They sparred for about a minute about half way across the field. The rut is just around the corner here in SE Iowa. My vacation starts next week, couldn't be more excited.

Sounds like your going to hit your vacation just right.

There's still a ton of corn standing near my areas so hopefully it comes out within the next week.
