Some counties post sale price directly on their website. DBQ county does it in the county assessors page. Even with this info you have to be careful becuase cheap land could be sold to family memebers and expensive land could be development or include buildings which dramtically increase the PPA. Around east central Iowa I see a lot of timber/pasture only going for $1900 to $3500 per acre. Only so much ground to go around, I don't see rec. ground ever going back down.
