I have a bag of left over seed (dbltree brassica mix).. just wondering what would be the best way to store it to ensure good germination next year? Ive heard maybe freeze it?
I would say store it in the fridge would be the best. Though I have had good germination rates even when stored at room temperature even year or two after, but fridge sounds best, not freezer.
I've got an old freezer in the barn for dog training birds, hides & other inedibles that has room, so that's where I store leftover seed. I don't have any problems with germination storing frozen. To make room in the spare refrigerator, either the beer or nightcrawlers would have to go. Not gonna happen.
