This year Im thinking about planting my first food plot. The area I have to plant is light sandy soil.

My question is what plants would do best in this soil, if any? Also will I need to fertilize the heck out of it to get good growth?

Thanks for your help.

Light soil: Try soybeans or a clover/chicory mix for deer, with brassicas planted in August a good option as well.

Pheasants and Deer: Sorghum
