Lone Wolf stands and Badlands packs

Just curious if anyone here has some up with a good system to carry both a Lone Wolf stand and a Badlands Monster fanny pack? I think I remember reading that Shredder and Rudd both have the Monster, and I saw a pic Shredder posted of his Lone Wolf combined with a Badlands 2200 pack. Here's Shredder's pic again:

Is the Monster even a feasible combination with the Lone Wolf and sticks?

Thoughts? Advice? Post a pic if you've got one.

Matt,
I have both the Badlands 2200 and the monster fanny. While the 2200 is ideal you can use the monster fanny by draping the straps over the stand and wrapping the belt around the platform of the stand. I did this with a different fanny pack and it worked fine. You will just need to use the LW straps and I would suggest either getting the padded version or getting some pipe insulation and wrapping that on the straps.

I love them both. I have used the 2200 everytime I have gone turkey hunting utilizing the batwings for the DB blind and it works great for that as well.

Limb and Shredder:

What is the best way you've found to attach the Lone Wolf to the 2200? Do you secure the stand using the straps on the pack or do you use some some of accessory straps to hold it to the pack?

On my lonewolf I just throw it over my back, then I adjust my backpack straps to go on over the lonewolf. So I wear the lonewolf on my back and the backpack over that. Works perfect for me without needing to attach the stand to a backpack. Another sidenote is that when you put the stand on your back the platform keeps your backpack off of your back, therefore making it noticeably cooler while walking in the timber. If you don't believe me try it sometime, you will never get a sweaty back and have a cold morning again. You gotta love heat transfer

Maybe I sweat more than others, but when my backpack is against my back, im usually soaked after walking 30-40 minutes. when my lonewolf is inbetween them, I have no problem at all

What Limb said..the batwings..I abused the heck out of my 2200 last fall and had essentially no wear on the pack after all was said and done. One tough pack and a great hunting equiptment combo. The newer 2200 like you ordered and my new one should take a ton of abuse and still work fine. The also work really good with the Double Bull blind on the back as well.

Is the stealth day pack larger than the 2200? Does anyone have the stealth day pack? Out of the two which do you prefer?

I just hook my cabelas pack over the traction teeth of my alpha climber and then throw it on. You could strap them together, but its not needed, unless you are running to your tree.

Does anyone have any info about a new bow holder and grommet that can accomodate a mathews (LX). I do like to just hang my bow but there are times when it would be nice if the bow holder was big enough.

It is my understanding that LW will be coming out with various add ons to accomidate bow holders, quivers, ect. ect...To make the bowholder in the platform accomidate the string suppressors it would take re-tooling of the platform and as far as I know, that is not going to be done this year. It may be in the future but my guess is the accessories are going to address that.

Ok, so do all the guys who have traded in the Cabela's backpacks for the Badlands ones really think it's that much better of a way to go? Limb, I may have to come over and see this new set up before season gets here. Yes, I will bring the barley's again.

You saw the setup at Ghost's place mudster...All around, I think it is a great way to go. I have had the Cabela's packs in the past and although they are nice....the durability was less than optimal in my situations. I did not carry a lone wolf on the back but did carry some things only to have the compression straps pull out.

With the Badlands, they have an unconditional lifetime warranty on the packs which is hard to beat.

I saw the backpack, don't remember the actual set up with the pack and the stand on it. Probably stumpblower clouding my memory or something. So, the durability of the Cabelas pack was your only issue? How's the comfort of the Badlands vs the Cabelas?

Comfort of the BL pack is really good, good thick padding and load support adjustment straps. You can custom fit the pack to your load needs to keep the weight where you need it.

Man, I sure can't complain with my Cabela's pack at the moment. Especially for the bargain cave price I got on it. I appreciate the comments Shredder. Perhaps in another year or two I'll have to upgrade to be "cool" like all the recent converts.
