well guys it looks like it is gonna be a good morning for a rut hunt so i am gonna leave here at about 5 30 and place some almost steamin deer scent on a scent wick and hang and the wind is blowing south just the direction i expect the deer to come from i had a good buck responding to a doe bleat last night and he got within 95 yards and then started chasing a doe.well i will give u an update win i get back.

this morning was ausome guys.i got there before dark and made a scent drag trail all of the way accross the feild.i settled in and did a little doe bleating and a little doe grunting and some rattling and at about 6:30i had a twig snap to my right and i looked and here is a 140" 8 pointer standing there looking at me and he took off and stopped at 60 yards in the bean feild and i watched him run all of the way to where i couldnt see him anymore.about 20 minutes after that i had a bean stim snap to my left and i moved my eyes over that direction and there was a good 6 pointer standing at 5 yards and as i grabbed my bow he took off to 35 yards and i drew back and let er fly and i clipped him and he took off and i watched him and i went to try to find my arrow and i couldnt so i just went and set down again and then i saw a good doe off in the distance.then i left the spot and went down the road and there were 3 good does in the neighboring farmers bean feild and they spooked. i came home and told dad what had happened so we waited a couple of hours and went back and found the arrow and it had hair on it but no blood and we went to the spot where i lost sight of him and that was it.i had a great morning and will be back there this evening.will let u know how that goes tonight.

sounds like u had a blast
i was out waybefore 1st light and as i walk in there were 2 does follwoing me down the hill to my stand and about 900 i have a 6 point walk right under me and make a scrape by my ladder. it was a great morning cept not to much movement 2 horns.........

it was a blast iowabuckhunter

went this evening and while sitting just before dark i hear a crackling noise in the beans off in the distance.so when my hunt was over there was just enough light to see i went to where i heard the noise and sure enough there was a big bodied buck out in the beans with a doe just out from there bedding area. i left immeditly and am hoping they will follow my scent trail and come to me with shooting light in the morning.

Great morning for me also.

Got in the stand before the sun came up. Just started hunting hard, and have pretty much lived in the woods the last few days. About 7:10 a couple smaller deer came into range. I have abuddy wanting some deer meat, and I had told him the next one that comes by he can have. ANYWHO.... Had a small button buck step into the 30 yard pin. I sent one his way (thinking it was a smaller doe

), he went about 30 yards and tipped over. Continued to set in the stand with the buck tag. 2 minuts later a small buck comes into view, basket rack, let him pass after he milled around under my stand for 15 minutes. He was the same buck I saw the night before out of the stand. Then a couple of more larger does come into range. GOSH Dangit anyway, I should have let the smaller one pass for my buddy and took one of the larger ones!!!

Anyway, got down around 8 ish, field dressed the little dude, tagged it, skinned it at home, then took it to my buddys house. He was tickled and is buying me another doe tag.

Lots of movement this morning for me, had deer under me for 45 minutes even after I had one down. One little 1 1/2 year old buck that visited me had his nose to the ground looking for the does.

Not sure if he knew what he was looking for or not. Had some Tinks out, and he really dint show any attention to it.

This makes # 3 for this season with a bow, now its a waiting and huntng hard game for Big Daddy!!!

I wasn't able to get out this morning, but tonight more than made up for it. Deer started appearing at 4:00, and by 5:30, I had seen at least 12 does, plus 6 bucks. Three of those bucks were shooters in my book, and the bigger one was a nice ten-point that probably was 150 or bigger. Also saw a real nice 8-point that would easily push 140. Tall rack with lots of mass, not real wide on spread. They were pushing does all over the place. I drew on a nice 8-point behind my stand, but needed three more yards to shoot. Darn deer backed up after checking out a squirrel. Oh well, it was a fun night, and things just keep heating up.

Yesterday was awesome here in Mo. I saw 8 different bucks from my stand. I passed up a 15 yard shot on two forkhorns, passed on a nice little eight point with two kicker points on it as well. I saw three shooter bucks and got one of them.

this morning was really good for me.i saw 1 nice shooter buck and 2 does.the buck was on the trail of a hot doe about 100 yards from me i was watching the doe who was 150 yards from me when i noticed this big 140" 10 pointer coming after her running across the road and as he keeps coming towards her she sees him and dosnt waste any time running into the woods.the buck put his nose down and started to chase her right into the woods.the other doe was a young one that was before this all happend.this is all i saw this moring and i am gonna leave this spot alone till next weekend.for this evening i am gonna hunt our other farm and will hunt back in the timber about 500 yards from where i missed the deer which is on the other side of our land and is also where i have been hunting the past 3 days.will let u guys know how i did tonight after the hunt.
