monsters in monona county

I hunt some ground just north of ute and it doesn't surprise me one bit that this many giant were shot. This area is hard to hunt and the deer tend to get to 4 and 5 years old. I also have a pic of that first buck you posted, a diff. Angle though actually looks bigger! I also have another pic of a 190 + from down there not the one in the back of the truck that is posted. I would say its more fact than fiction!

I was over in my home town of Onawa (Monona County seat) during first deer season and heard some coffee shop talk about a couple of big deer taken.

There lot's of big deer around Monona county. The #2 Iowa non-typical shotgun deer (240 taken in 1996) was shot near my uncle's farm just south of Castana.

hey post the pic of the other one i might know the guy? there were some other big ones taken but i didnt get pics of all of them!
