Now for the very serious legislation Senate File 2248, we DO NOT SUPPORT this bill. We stand behind the Iowa Bowhunters on this issue and feel an increase from 8,000 to 16,000 non-resident deer hunting licenses will hurt our deer hunting in Iowa. This did pass at the House and needs to be stopped at the Senate, call your Senator TODAY at 515-281-3371.
We are also OPPOSED to Senate File 2249 and join with the IBA on this one as well. This provides a non-resident landowner (agricultural ground ) a guarantee to a deer or turkey tag. Lots of varations to this and simply put this could hurt hunting worse than the first bill.
