my turkey season in illinois wasn't the best.opening day of first season i had 2 hens run out and me and my dad tried to call them up and see if they would pull a gobbler out but then they ran off.then it clucked and yelped a couple of times out of my mouth call then a tom gobbled then i called again to him and he gobbled so we moved in and tried to get him to move in and then he shut up and that was the end of the day.the next day i went with my brother and at first light of was working in a gobbler who was gobbling like crazy and he got to about 100 yards and stopped gobbling then we moved to the next high point and called then i had 4 different toms gobble and they worked in to about 200 yards and shut up and that was that day then i was suppose to go 2 days later but i got sick,go figure and that was all of my season.
