N.D. Indian Tribes Offering Reward for Poaching Information

The Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation tribes of Parshall, N.D. are offering a $500 reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever shot a bull elk on the east side of the reservation where there is no elk hunting season.
Tribal Game and Fish Director Fred Poitra said that hunting is allowed only on the west side in the Mandaree area.
The elk was only partially harvested and found by a member of the Tribal Council who was horseback riding.
Poitra said the elk was probably shot over the weekend.
