I was reading an article roday re: this bear in either the Des Moines Register or the Omaha World Herald stating that the guy was "walking a trail looking for the bear when the bear charged him."

honestly its probably a good deal that the guy shot it and the bear didnt find his way to someones back yard where a kid could have been playing outside, especially when it charged the guy.

I don't know BUT if I had to lay money on it, that bear didn't charge him, he also happened to be carrying a .300 Winchester. I'd say he just said that to further justify. Just my opinion.

Also, if it were my land, I personally would have left the thing alone. I haven't heard of a Minnesota bear attack above our border where they are all over, I am sure they happen though.

I will say though, I've always been that Wussy that would never kill a fox, bobcat, bear, badger or any animal like that, especially one i can't eat. Not against hunting them BUT yes, I have been called a big Sissy /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
