I'm a pretty lucky fella and continue to get asked by nephews take them deer hunting. 13 year old Ryan is the latest. Our hunts were a bit limited with his football after school and me leaving for Texas later this week. Saturday we worked on moving and fixing stands then hunted the last couple hours. We had several does in front of us but he was waiting for a buck. Sunday had me tending the smoker most of the day making jerky but we did make the afternoon hunt. Four does made thier way to 65 yards and he decided to take one. His shot was a bit forward but it still was pretty lethal. She flopped over after 20 yards. Hopefully we have a new deerhunter amongst us...................
