New Boat Ramp Open at Elk Rock State Park
KNOXVILLE, Iowa - Construction of a new six lane boat ramp at Elk Rock State Park has finished and the ramp is now open. The $584,000 project began in 2007 but construction was delayed several months by high water levels.
The new ramp has parking for 105 vehicles and is designed to be usable during high water when the old ramp had to be closed.
