I just bought an optima w winchester 209 primers white hot pellets and shockwave 250gr hollow points...what does everyone recommend on sighting in as far as cleaning, or any advive for muuzzleloaders

I would zero it in at 150 yards. It should be about 3 inches high at 100 and 3.5 inches low at 200. Shoot at each distance to see where it hits. I would swab between each shot. If it gets cold, leave the gun in the cold. Do not bring it inside where its warm when loaded if you plan on hunting the next day. The barrel forms condensation and it could not fire. Kill a giant!!

3" high at 100 should be dead on at 150 yards. You will be a lot lower at 200 yards IMO. I'd bet a good 8 to 10 inches due to the Whitehots shooting slower than T7 pellets.

I HIGHLY suggest swabbing between each and every shot.

Some videos i have made for new shooters.

I would like to add I am shooting 120 grains of blackhorn 209 so i have no clue how white hots will perform at longer ranges.
