no tag no problem

Well I guess from what I hear they get other people to buy gun tags and then these out of staters get a doe only over the counter tag. So then they come to Iowa with this outfitter person to hunt and they hunt alongside the Iowa resident who has an any sex tag. Since there is party hunting in Iowa they can then shoot a buck and put the Iowa Resident tag on it.
 
Isn't this the same thing they do out west for mule deer and elk. If your willing to pay a lot you don't have to bother with the lottery drawing, the outfitters get so many tags or buy tags or something like that.

There are NO outfitter tags in Iowa

There are only 2 ways to get an Iowa NR buck tag, the lottery or the 75 Governors tags and I'm sure these aren't any of those.

It sounds to me like IowaBowHunter nailed it, a party hunting situation where a resident's anysex tag gets used.

There IS a quota on NR antlerless tags too (not unlimited over the counter, in fact it's a lower quota than anysex tags) but obviously they is less competition for them.

The quota has sold out 2 years in a row but just like a resident getting an early muzzy tag, if you want one you can get one before they sell out.
 
From what I understand it is legal, unfortunately. Unless I'm wrong and if I am please correct me but I'm pretty sure that is somewhat of a loophole for NR to get a buck w/out drawing a buck tag. The only thing we got going is that most NR's don't have gun groups that are willing to do that- until this D-bag showed up on Ebay.
 
Man, if I'm reading this right I'd be choked if I were a resident hunter. I can't believe someone would cheapen the integrity of something as great as whitetail hunting on ebay. Is that right, he's selling his resident tag to someone else b/c of a DNR loophole?

There was a guy from Castana that tried the same type of thing on ebay. I think it isn't legal to do this for a NR.
