From what I've read in the past, I think the oaks tend to produce viable acorns about once every three years. But I didn't think that meant they had no acorns the other years...interesting.
I've got a few white oaks around, and they seem to go even more than three years between acorns, and I did not think it was supposed to be that long, but these take that long. Fert is supposed to help this but never tried it.
