Picture downsize

Does anybody know how to convert a picture that's 1.7 mb down small enough to post on here? I'm trying to post my turkey and the darn thing won't let me upload my pictures because they are too many megabites

Open the photo in a program like Adobe Photoshop or any picture program and change the image size to a smaller size and that will shrink the file size
