postal work

I know this has nothing to do with hunting or anything, but I know there are a lot of knowlegable people on here so here's my question: Are there any postal workers that are members on here? and if so, does anyone know the process of applying for a postal position? I am currently trying to move to Missouri, and I'm interested in trying to get a job with the postal service. So any input would help.

Thanks

I've been on their website and it just seems that they really don't give the proper steps to apply for a job. When you look at all the job search engines on the web, almost all places you look it says "NOW HIRING FOR POSTAL POSITIONS", but i just can't seem to get anywhere. I'm trying to apply for a city carrier position and I have some leads, but I think I just need to talk to someone that works for the post office.

Becareful, there are a bunch of compaines that advertise about postal jobs, but what they do is "prep" you for the exam, not get you a job. My dad retired for the USPS and I remember him practcing and studying for the test. He was a clerk. You might call up the postmaster in a larger city and ask what the process is or how often they give the tests. Maybe try the postal workers union website, if there is one, site that is, there is definately a union.

I'm a postal worker...don't do it! Just kidding, it's been good to me. You have to take some sort of test for full time work. When you are down there, stop in to a larger office and ask where and when they may be giving the test for what you may want to do. If you have more specific questions just PM me. Good luck to you.
