K, we will try it on here! Does anyone know when the last iowawhitetial rendezvous was? has there been talk about having one?

Was just reading some old legends while busy at work today and notice a post about a rendezvous! Thought it sound like a heck of a good time. SO am wondering when the last one was and if there are any plans for one after this season or not?

Would anyone be interested in going to one if there was one?
 
There used to be a gathering up in NE Iowa for a weekend at Chase the Adventure lodge. We had a 3D shoot, played cards, and had owl hoot offs at 0530. I am sure I still beat Limb up there, but not at the Sheraton a few years ago. Anyway, interest waned after the first two years and we stopped having it. Then Shovelbuck started having a shed gathering over in way western Iowa that recently moved to south of Des Moines and that has been the gathering the past few years.

It would be nice to do the Rendezvous again, maybe at a more central part of the state.
 
DoubleA, is your shop right in town?
Cedar Falls area would be a good place....or cedar rapids.
Seems to be quite a few members from that area.

Yeah we are right off 218! I'd be willing to work on it where ever!
 
I'm looking into this and trying to gather some ideas here. I am looking through the Old polls to find the one that asked where ever body lived(it had number zones) I can't seem to find it... Can someone locate it? Or <span style="color: #33CC00">BLAKE</span>could you do another one?

I'd be willing to help out on setting something up if it was over in that area. That's fairly close to me
 
i'm sure i could get us in at the stuart archery course. state park for camping just about a mile or so away. may even be able to get permission to camp at the range (no, not ON the range)
 
Chase the Adventure Lodge was the perfect place for it. There were rooms available at the lodge at a cheap price and camping too. There was no concern about driving for those who consume and as far as I know no one got kicked out for their behavior. There was an archery tournament on site that we could go play on after the shoot was over and a pond for the night time "shoot from a moving canoe shot" that Vman had mastered!

The only down fall was the distance for most of us to drive.
If there was a more centrally located spot with similar accomadations I think it would go over well. It will be hard to find a place that will compare to Chase the Adventure though.
