Shall Issue SF-2379 Update

According to a report published just a very short time ago on Radio Iowa, Governor Culver WILL be signing SF-2379 into law on Thursday, April 29 at 9:00 am.

There are no details yet as to the type of signing ceremony that he will hold, but the report says that he will in fact sign the legislation.

Good deal. Maybe now Iowa will allow reciprocity to Missouri and other CCW states since things will be "on an equal playing field" as the Governor puts it. As it stands now only Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin are the only states in the midwest that are holdouts in granting reciprocity.

done a bit of reading on this topic and it looks like January of 2011 is when it goes into effect. Personally, i can't wait!
