We hope it's ok to discuss the spotted fawn issue as a new topic, it's worthy of the discussion.
Anyway we just got off the phone with Willie Suchy ( Iowa DNR and Whitetail Deer Guru ) and he thinks this fawn was obviously born late thus still carrying it's spots. He also says the reason you don't see this is most fawns don't survive the fall and early winter. Again this fawn's mother was bread(sp) late, late and thus the fawn was born into the Fall.
PS, best part of all this is Willie now knows about the site and hopefully we can get him to interact with us. Hint, Doug Clayton.
