Well it happened again this afternoon. Around 5:20 3 toms came in to the strut zone we discovered last Sunday. Took the first one and was done. One full day of hunting and I'm done. Almost to fast only got to be out in the morning once to hear the roar of the gobble. The bird weighed 21.6 lbs.,9 3/8" beard, and 1 1/4 spurs. We think the beard was short because it was a blonde at the tip, meaning poor nutrition. I'm excited as this was my second turkey, first tom and first hunt by myself.

Thanks for all of the congrats. I'm kinda in awe my dad and I have hunted 3 years on public land without seeing a single turkey this year a guy my dad knew told us we could try his land and what a difference. In one day I saw over 13 turkeys.
