Supplemental feeding potential?

Most of us can agree that supplemental feeding in the off season DOES help. The problem is, most of us cant afford to do it. Anilogics is $50 for a 50 lb bag and the other brands aren't too far behind. 50 lbs would last about 1 night in many areas.
Has anyone found a more practical way?

We used to do this for bulk sweet feed for horses. Had it in a wagon in a shed and it got buggy. So think about how you will store it, probably easier during the winter months with fewer insects being active. Might not have happened if they bagged it, but that will add to the cost is my guess. Still has to be cheaper than the bags with pictures of bucks on them.
