First time growing trees from acorns. Never thought I would get so excited growing trees….lol. Getting ready to transplant the bigger ones to pot to get a bit bigger before I plant them. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions are more than welcome.

I'm trying the same thing this year for the first time. It's fun enough I'm definitely going to do more next year. Considering building a small greenhouse so I don't fill up my garage counters again. I've got a variety going. I've got a bunch more in the fridge to plant outside soon in my air pruning beds. Will be fun to compare the beds to the rootmakers.

Hmmmm....that is something I may have to try next year. I was told to get the cones which I like because I don't use a ton of material in the beginning stages and it doesn't take up much room. Next year I would LOVE to give chinese chestnuts a try.

You gotta great setup!!!!

Got the rest of my acorns planted with some help from the kiddos.

Kinda toned it down over last couple of years.
But got 60 chestnuts started along with saw tooth oak.
One of the most important don't over water.
