Taking out 3 birds with one stone..

1. Mowing, 2. Fertilizing, and 3. Getting in good with the neighbor.... The only real food plot that I have right now is in my back yard. It's about a half acre; 1/4 alfafla, 1/4 biologic clover plus, and the other half is weeds that will be tilled under and planted with turnips and maybe some GHR's. It came time to be mowed and I don't really have a mower that I can set high enough to not scorch the plot. I also wanted some good nitrogen for the future turnips. My neighbor has some cattle in his pasture so I asked him if it would be alright if I made a gate in our fence and turned some of his cattle loose and help me mow and fertilize , all the while giving some good nutrition and free food to the herd.. hope it works. They sure are loving it and it is helping build a good relationship with the neighbor for maybe some possible hunting and fishing opportunities.
