As mentioned in my other fly rod post, First Bamboo I have two of these and I did manage to get some time this weekend to get the rod finished.
The photos don't do it justice but here are a couple.
I had to replace all the guides on this set up. The rod in the other post has two different spinning tips where this one has only one, but has two different fly rod tips. Hard to see in the photos but between the guides, the bamboo is wrapped with heavier blue wrap. I suppose to give this rod a stiffer action. Fortunately, it is in great condition and didn't need any attention.
The storage box for this rod is going to be a big project as it was split in half length ways and missing a few pieces. Given time, I'll get it done and post up a photo.
