Thinking of Moving to Iowa.

Greetings Gentlemen, I married an Iowa Lady, 2002, bought 40 acres east of Ottumwa,in Jan.Contemplating selling our home here in MI, moving to Iowa,closer to her folks.Is S.Iowa deer hunting/watching really as spectacular as property seller has led me to believe? Saw lots of trails and beds on 40 when down there. N.MI deer scarce,frightened,poke noses out at dark.Few left after limitess fawn and doe permits last 5yrs,plus we have 400,000 bow hunters,800,000 gunners!Give me your opinons of Iowa hunting,thanks a heap,LONERANGER

there are no big deer in iowa loneranger, i havn't seen anything bigger than a basket rack in years.
