This is crazy.........

Are you kidding me?....everyone needs to read this,...check out the illegel tactics section. This sort of crap, should make us all really mad....it does me!

the last two sentences of this paragraph ...................speachless

[ QUOTE ]
Hunting by humans operates perversely. The kill ratio at a couple hundred feet with a semi-automatic weapon and scope is virtually 100 percent. The animal, no matter how well—adapted to escape natural predation, has virtually no way to escape death once he/she is in the cross-hairs of a scope mounted on a rifle. Nature's adaptive structures and behaviors that have evolved during millions of years simply count for naught when a human is the hunter. Most deer, for example, would not perceive anything that is within the effective range of a big game rifle (up to 400 yards) as a predator or a source of danger. A wolf at that distance, even though detected, would be totally ignored. Even the much smaller range of a bow-hunter (about 50-75 feet) is barely of concern to deer. Deer may start to keep an eye on a hunter at that distance, but the evasion instinct doesn't kick in until it's too late.

Speechless! I especially like this ignorant statement. "Most hunters are badly out of shape. If you are going to destroy his ATV, it may be better to do a good job and make sure his toy breaks close to help rather than let him have a heart attack on a 15 mile hike when his little toy finally gives out deep in the woods. Additionally, never tamper with brakes." I would love to see these tree huggers track across some of the terrain that I do evey year. I guarantee they wouldn't make it out of the first valley! Anti's make me sick!

I like the part about raising pheasants in pens and then they releas them before the season starts. Who ever wrote this is a freaking idiot. I would love to take them out into the woods and just let them see nature. Its probably some idiot that lives in Manhattan that saw a documentary on poaching and decided to put their 2 cents in. I'll give them there 2 cents back and even give them 2 more cents to keep there damn mouth shut.

"Play loud radios and spread deer repellent or human hair (from barber shops) near hunting areas. "

This is considered some kind of harrasment and I read somewhere that it can be punished by law. This article is very upsetting. This is what puts out a bad name for hunters! I won't be able to finish school today!

I am simply in awe at the viewpoints these people have. I couldn't imagine meeting face to face with someone like this. Simply unbelieveable. I suppose we just need to make sure that all of these people get reported.

This is harrasment. About 4 years ago, during 2nd season shotgun, I ran into a problem with a guy driving around the timber I was hunting and honking his horn and slamming his truck doors. When I came out of the timber and was getting into my truck he drove by and gave me the bird. Until his last gesture, I was gonna just blow the whole thing off. The whole flipping me off thing pushed me over the edge. I followed him to his house, and got his liscense plate and turned him in. The DNR officer met me on site with the county sheriff, They had take them to his house and ID the man in question. I watched them write him a harassment ticket right there on the spot. I just stood there with a big ol grin on my face.

Stupid SOB!

We all need to take this very serious. These are the people that are trying to take away what we all love. They have a lot of money backing them as well.

I hadn't heard of this new tactic they have to try to skirt the legal system - taking hunter safety class, buying guns and permits and taking to the field and acting like "hunters" to scare game away.

The fact that they're out there shooting guns, coupled with their suggestions of tampering with atvs and treestands, gives these people the potential to be very dangerous.

Thanks for posting this Splitg1.

The fact that this person has done little to no research about hunting, conservation, wildlife, and especially pheasant populations in the midwest is obvious to each and every one of us. The part that scares me is all of those people that are "on the fence" regarding hunting may take this as factual information. The best way to respond to something like this is to positively reflect hunting to as many people as we can. I think we make a much better case than this uneducated extremist.
