they stumped me again. Every year at this time, I go and talk to our small school 2nd graders, about turkey hunting and taxidermy. You cant believe some of the questions that have been thrown at me the last six years. Anyway, the question this year,that I should have known the answer to, was, "How fast does a turkey fly,and how fast can it run?" Honestly, I didnt know. So help me out guys. What are the
answers. No guesses allowed. Because I already did that!!
 
Turkeys can fly up to a mile or so in a single flight, averaging 35 to 55 mph.
They can run about 25 mph top speed.
Kids will keep you on your toes

With a mounted turkey in front of the class, for the students to see, one of the kids asked, "Did you name (that) turkey?" My reply was, "Yes, I named him lunch!" I wish I would have kept record of all the "good" questions.
