timber trail foodplots?

I have recently done a small portion of logging in my timber. I have been thinking about trying to get something to grow on my paths to serve as a food plots for deer/turkeys. Anybody have any ideas of something that will grow well on timber trails???

Some of the ladino clovers will work fine for that. I would research it pretty good prior to spring to see when is best to try it.

If the trails are wide enough to get a decent amount of sunlight you're halfway there, I have frost seeded ladino and it did well even without lime or fertilizer in areas where it got enough light. Some mixes are better for shady areas but can't remember which ones...

I did a broadcast frost seeding of red and ladino clovers with a few oats mixed in. It did really well, even in the shady areas. Its the only "green" on my place right now.
