Treehopper belt question

Is anyone else using a Treehopper belt and having this problem...the rope that goes around the tree that you are climbing that is then reattached to belt is not long enough to go around more than 50% of the trees I climb.

I love the device and was very much looking forward to using it to more safely hang stands this year but I am finding that I can only use it sometimes. It is almost like they need two belts, that can be used interchangeably, one that is shorter like the standard belt it comes with and a longer one for larger diameter tress.

I was using mine yesterday (for the first time) to hang some treestands. I had plenty of extra room, and the trees I was in had almost 2 foot diameters. Are you in giant trees, or were you trying to keep the rope up higher than you? The only time mine got almost too short was when I tried to do that. I just lowered it down a bit, and had plenty of room to work with. I love this belt, and wish I had got one sooner.
