I was wondering if someone can tell me what kind of tree this is. Is it a hackberry? I have a small lowland creek that runs through my property that is littered with these and elms. The area is very open and there is not much ground cover so I want to hinge cut some trees this winter and was wondering if these trees are worth anything to deer and/or turkey. I plan on having a forester come out but want to educate myself a little before then.
