What's the story on these two?

Friend emailed me this pic. All he said was they were found near Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. I apologize if I missed the post somewhere, but I don't remember seeing them on here, which makes me think that this could be another one of those infamous pictures that seems to travel round the world 700 times. I wasn't sure so I figured someone on here would have the lowdown.

I haven't seen those two before Muzzy...wow. That is too bad. Mother Nature can be cruel.

The part I don't buy is that the IA DNR let the guy keep them. Being that big, I think they would have added these to their collection.

I found a buck 2 years ago and he grossed over 180 inches and the dnr didnt want anything to do with it. The cape was dimenished and it was like the buck on the left in the picture. only thing good on it was the rack. They let me keep it without any questions. Some of them are pretty understanding and use common sense.

I had a friend email this pic as well. It said on the pic that these deer were found 15 miles NE of mt pleasant. A pheasant hunter apparently found them and called the dnr about it. The dnr according to the story actually let the hunter keep the racks. I hope that it's true and I wish I was that pheasant hunter.
