Every time I see a deer I try to imagine were I would place the shot if I were hunting. Is there a shot, or do I pass. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I think will all need to brush up on deer anatomy before we take to the field to harvest a whitetail this fall. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Iowa's number one resource for the whitetail deer.

Nice post.
Couple years ago I took a shot at a deer at 15yards. In route to the deer I noticed the arrow deflect of something and the arrow stuck in his neck. I thought I was in trouble. But the deer just started walking away didn't even try to run and I could see blood just pouring out. He dropped about 20 yards from where I shot. I knew it hit something major just never really knew what. But now I do. Thanks.
By the way when I got down and started looking around about 5 feet infront of the deer there was a 1/2 in vine hanging down and now almost cut in half.

I copied these onto a word doc. and go over it with my daughter, Then we look at trail cam pics and she tells me if and where they get shot. It's a game we both enjoy!
