Nature makes the best I've found. Milk weed:way: Those little floating pods follow wind currents perfectly and can be seen for quite a ways.

Im with Shovelbuck... Put some milkweed inside of a chew can or film canister and it floats with the wind wonderfully.. Powders will disipate too quickly sometimes.. With the milk weed, you can track your wind path for as long a way as you can see it.. I have a buddy that taped a chew can to the inside of one of the limbs on his bow, put the milk weed in, and pulls a little bit out when ever he wants and lets er go.. that way, it's always right in front of your face
